A Conversation for Jurassic 5

This article was great. It may be kind of hard for me to view it totally objectively as I love J5 but I think that if anyone was curious about the group and looking for more information this article would provide them with good info as well as make them want to get out and hear their music.
The only thing I would suggest is more elaboration on cutchemist and numark. You mention the famous rubber band trick which all J5 and some hip-hop fans know about but those looking for new information might want it described to them in more detail, thus also adding in more background as to how J5 incorporate incredible DJ skills with their harmonious and dissonant rap like no other hip-hop band. Just a thought.
Anyway, great article. I'm going to put Quality Control on now.

Thanks a lot for the comments - glad you liked it as a fan.

I'll have a think about what more I could say about Cut and Numark. I totally love their DJ-ing, but I didn't want to get too boring and technical for people who aren't quite as interested in scratch DJ-ing as I am.
Have you seen the film 'Scratch'? There's a very amusing interview with the two of them (Cut is very funny, very dry) and a long clip of Cut performing at Future Primitive.

Oops, sorry. I'm still kinda new to this whole thing.
The only reason I mention Cut and Numark is because the way J5 uses them is what first got me into J5. I hated hip-hop until I stated listening to J5 and now I love all forms of hip-hop and DJ. It was actually quite a valuable lesson to me about how tastes can change so don't judge too early. But I digress, that has nothing to do with your article.
Yeah, Scratch is great and so is the Future Primitive session. I was lucky enough to see Cut Chemist and Numark play here in S.F. at a very small venue. Some chick tried to get Cut to autograph her leg and he just laughed and started beating on a milk crate with the marker she had in time to Numark's spinning.

I met Cut last Friday - he played a one-off gig in London for a record launch. Shadow was there as well but didn't play a set. Still, pretty cool to see the great duo standing together a mere four feet away from me.
