Law?

The element of the modern legal system today which bothers me the most "is" the tedency it has to assert semantic constructs as valid aspects of the universe we live in and from them try to punitively force people to accept them. Trial by jury does result at least result in several people of varying diffrent belief systems dictating dictating the lives of the defendant rather than a single judge or a collection of trained BS artists (lawers) arguing amongst themselves as to the actual meaning of some arangement of words written decades... somtimes centuries earlier.
