You could use them for display instead of
wearing them. That's what I do with my collection
of neckties: they stay on a nice tie rack, which
keeps them in much nicer condition than if I ever wound
one around my nack.

Hey Paul
I see you've been thinking about voting for the Ozark Party ticket. And you're thinking of going to Team Mina. I have enormous respect for Mina and Galaxy Babe, but the name of their party is 'I don't have time for this' Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence in me.
In addition, in exchange for you support, we could arrange a cushy job in the cabinet for you that involves little to no actual work or a campaign job.
I've noticed an interesting fallacy amongst floatings... It's not technically true that you'll get better bribes the longer you hold out. The campaign may not have this much energy and certainly not as many resources near the end. Plus, most importantly, there is the nostalgia of this here dunkin' booth
Your decision in the end of course, and we shall respect any you make.

How's a guy supposed to get any rest around here? This thread was the quietest, most inactive one I could find for sleeping in. Rip Van Winkle himself couldn't have asked for better.
I assumed that Mina and Galaxy Babe were being ironic about not having enough time. Or maybe it was a comment on the honorary nature of the job, which may not carry any real clout.
There are a few candidates that I really would *not* like to see elected, though I'm not going to say which ones.

No, I think that Mina actually doesn't have time for this - she said so in the post of her declaring, I believe. But that's just my impression.
I thought this would be a nice place to resurrect some discussion.
I honestly think that Hyp has the best chance of beating the others... I'm assuming that you don't want to see Hyp not elected of course

To be honest, I'd like to see Shea the Sarcastic in the race, but she doesn't have a running mate, at least not yet. Then again, she's a Thingite, which is a concern. Maybe she would split the Thingite vote with Clive, lessening the Thingite impact.
Dragonfly could get a lot of votes if she ran, but she hasn't been visiting this site much lately.

Is Shea interested? I always liked Shea
I doubt that she'd split the Thingite vote though - I've been lurking quite a lot and see a pretty solid organization there.
Ok, take your time making up your mind. But I do believe that Hyp is the only force in the election that could defeat the Thingites. And 2legs.

Evidently, the Evil Army's Jack (SpaceCadet) is also running. I am not sure he is well enough to do much if elected, though.

Wow, two years.
Is this booth still working? Because there might be a few votes in it.
Oh, where did that come from?

Statistically speaking; very probably.
There's a fair few out there who would leap at the chance to dunk the Grand Pooh Bah of h2g2.
Hey, how about an addition to the Platform - The Vice President will be available for dunking on the third Tuesday of every month.
And on Bank Holidays.
I'd vote for a party that promised that.

*checks diary*
*counts; one, two, three Tuesdays*
*grins with satisfaction, mutters, can't shoo 'em, can't drop 'em...*
Dunk!

*checks diary*
*counts; one, two, three Thursdays*
*sighs at the nefariousness of politicians and the iniquity of retrospective legislation...*
But there are compensations.
Dunk!

blurble uh guh...
*emerges from the booth, soaking wet*
I'm going to need a second sanitizing... I think the trout and seal have been in the tank and left a few of their floating friends
Key: Complain about this post
