h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

AS I'm sure I must have promised at some point, I've been scouring the ranks of our members list to find out exactly how many seem to still exist and how many seem to have forgotten us, since we have such a dedicated base of loyal members but a rather large member list. What I've found is somewhat amazing...

8 of our members have, since joining, disappeared off of the face of 'g2, unlikely to ever return... In due time, I will of course set up a shrine to those who simply went missing in action...

11 of our members have either forgotten they're members, never really got into group activities or are on the verge of being MIA...


In the next, well, few weeks, I'll probably send out messages to that cumulative 19, as a friendly reminder that we're still here if they still want to be here.

I know I need desperately to make improvements to the front page, but suggestions and comments are the most important things because this is YOUR club as much as mine Without you guys, there'd just be me with a lot of chairs on the ceiling and plenty of free beanbag love...

I'm thinking of starting a listing on the front page of popular conversations so that it's easier to find the bar or take a trip to the gardens. If anyone has any outside websites they'd like to share about anything, please inform me and I'll find a place for them...Also I think I had a request for a FREAK badge..naturally, unless anyone can pull a few strings with the community artists, it'll have to be made by one [or indeed all] of us, so any ideas or suggestions on that would be well recieved. Another idea that came to me in a bar discussion was perhaps to start giving out jobs around the place, like, erm, I don't know, barmaid, chief mime, lumberjack, or well, anything else that appeals. Any ideas I would also be greatful for
