Actually, I think the parody is a lot more entertaining. 
Unfortunately, I was a nerdy little kid who grew up to be a nerdy adult, so I tend to spout treatises despite my best efforts at being socially acceptable...

Every time I try to do a treatise it ends up soundly like Robert Benchley wrote it under the influence.
Either that or Tony Hendra!
My possible asperger's means that I speak in RL with a lecturer's tone and paragraphing.
It's not that I'm pendantic, I just don't know how to talk like a "normal" person.
I talk kinda like Data on Star Dreck: The Next Regurgitation.
