In my class last week we were dealing with traffic problems and what came up as one of the topics? Strikes! Where were these strikes? In France of course. smiley - winkeye

I think the French now have a Eurowide reputation for striking - they've easily overtaken the UK!

And quite right too I say! They don't take all this sort of thing lying down over here!

...there are things they DO take lying down though...

No, I think I have already been asked about the Official French Position.....

Ah but this is le pays de la liberté and we are very keenly attached to the "droit de grève". We don't give a fig whether when somebody goes on strike we just sigh and think: well, time for another strike then.

Shall we bet there will be an airport strike towards christmas smiley - whistle?

smiley - cross You shouldn't make fun about the Marseillaise. You may get fined according to brand new laws.

Gawd, are you serious????

I have a horrible feeling you may be telling the truth; last time I got this sort of sinking feeling was at the time of "that" election, when myself & several others (French!) were seriously contemplating moving if "that" got in.

I should assume so. Anyway, strikes are running out of steam (have been running out of steam for some time actually), seemingly. Even the research library in Jussieu university is open again smiley - sigh, so...
