A Conversation for Schrodinger's Cat

Right, you obviously have a bee in your bonnet over this for some reason, so let's clear things up.

You seemed to think two people (including yourself) had previously said that the changes made since post 21 weren't necessary. That wasn't the case, as I said before.

I initially asked if AC had given up on it because he had posted in the last 24 hours, but not on this thread for a week. I was wondering why he hadn't responded to your comments, aswell as other researchers.

I thought the issue was settled too, and we had moved on. They don't call you Captain Obvious for nothing do they? smiley - winkeyesmiley - laugh

'Although I'm willing to bet that it was done after the fact..'

So, I ask again, what are you talking about? smiley - erm

You came up with this detailed reasoning behind a quick one liner. I was just saying I thought you did it after the argument began, not when you actually first read the post. But, if you re-read post #32 (I think), you'll see I didn't really care about it.

YO! sc don't panic!

It's never wrong to comment, even if things have been said already. I sometimes forget what's in the backlog, so I am personally happy when someone pops up with a 'repetition' of comments. Furthermore, I think there's no such thing as 'enough' feedback in PR.

dave,

It wasn't really detailed reasoning at all, it was simply responding to your claim that two people had said that the changes recommended were unnecessary. I couldn't see where this was said anywhere, that's all.

sinistercoincidence,

As Hell said, there's no such thing as too much feedback in Peer Review. My marbles just plain broke this morning when I smashed my head on the car door, so don't think you're alone. Especially on h2g2. smiley - winkeye

Hey Atlantic_Cable,

Are you happy for this to go in to the Edited Guide? I am if you are.smiley - smiley

Congratulations - Your Entry has been Picked for the Edited Guide!

h2g2 auto-messages

Your Guide Entry has just been picked from Peer Review by one of our Scouts, and is now heading off into the Editorial Process, which ends with publication in the Edited Guide. We've therefore moved this Review Conversation out of Peer Review and to the entry itself.

If you'd like to know what happens now, check out the page on 'What Happens after your Entry has been Recommended?' at EditedGuide-Process. We hope this explains everything.

Thanks for contributing to the Edited Guide!

Cheers,

Right, I've made a few changes.

Thanks to sinistercoincidence, and in answer to your question; I was always told that it's better to get teh spelling mistakes ironed out in the review than by the editor. They aren't infalliable and might miss it themselves.

BTW, hands up who else hates "its" and "it's"? I was 17 before I knew the difference.

That was damn good timing on my part. smiley - smiley

I haven't been able to get online all weekend, computer problem. Let's just put it this way; if you ever clone your c: drive, pay attention to your first virus scan, it'll ask you a question about your master boot record which summounts to this;

"Virusguard: Would you like me to crash you computer forever, or do you want to keep working with it?" smiley - smiley

5 and 1/2 hours later I had it back up and running.
