Our parents didn't always give us our freedom. I was so fed up of all the rules I was supposed to obey that my mother only saw me at mealtimes. As soon as her back was turned, I was off again. Otherwise it would be 'Go to the shop for me', 'Clean the windows', 'Play with your sister'. No way. I was busy studying the wildlife in the nearby countryside. Halcyon days, really!

i know that wen i came in from school and the news came on(at 6??) i HAD to wash the dishes b4 i cud playout! that was my chore!
jeez i gotta BRIBE mine to wash dishes! n then it's done under duress!!
n i cudn't believe it wen i asked one of mine to go to the shop for something(a couple of years ago now) n they sed NO!!
i'd never thought of saying no to my parents!! although half the time i didn't want to go! lol
but i think we r better for it ,
society as a whole just has no respect have they?

Dead right, Little! Some kids got to keep the change when they went to the shop. Not me 
Dunno if we learned to be better or (in my case anyway) incredibly devious. I could argue my way out of anything and leave my sister with egg on her face. Oh how she used to love me (NOT)!).

lmao yeah maybe it did make us a bit devious, but we were using our initiative!! 
i'm the youngest(my sister's way older than me)so it was often me who git the blame,but i got her back quite nicely in other ways!!WEG!!but that's just being siblings innit?
the stories mine come in with from school about who sed/did wot to a teacher just astounds me!! the teachers have NO deterrents against the kids now n the kids r very aware of their 'rights' n taunt them fully!knowing for a fact that the law is on their side n that the teachers can't retaliate. friad i
cudn't b a teacher in the present climate(don't think i'd last a lesson never mind a day with the
attitude )
maybe a case of the inmates taking over the asylum????
