Suppose I'd better wear a H2G2 T shirt then so if any of you guys spot me you can say hello.
The plan currently is for me and Metal Chicken to get as far down from Manchester on the wednesday when she finishes work and then do the last bit on thursday morning.

I'm going completely foodless...last time I got really depressed about going back to the car (our tent had blown down before we got it up so we slept/ate in the car) and cooking sausage sarnies when there were masses of stalls selling gorgeous smelling food
Plus I couldn't be arsed carrying all the extra weight just for one person.
If you're having a BBQ then you're supposed to raise it off the grass (most disposables have a little wire holder that will do this). I'm not sure about what raw food is available but most stalls do vege options and I know people who go vege for glato just because it's safer than trusting the meat.

ours folds us really small, but when its out, its about a meter off the ground, so we should be ok. and yep, i think i'll buy for the majority, but i'd rather spend the money on clothes! also, there will be about 15 of us, so the extra weight will be spread around. we just thought a communal bbq once everyone's srrived would be pretty cool. you can all come and join in if you want

I've always found that once I get to Glastonbury I can survive indefinately on a pot noodle and two bags of doughnuts a day. I dont know why, this wouldnt normally be an adequate snack for me...
Its probably the drugs.

my appetites been fluctuating alot recently-sometimes i eat loads and loads, but sometimes i eat hardly anything. i've been informed its 'stress'. but if i'm revising in school i usually just have a pot noodle for lunch-its quick and cheap. (and veggie!) the posh ones arent, coz they're expensive enough to have real meat in, but the rest are, except chicken and mushroom. all those bits of 'meat' are just soya.

Thinking about it, hungover at weekends I hardly eat anything at all, so that might have something to do with it...

know the feeling... only had 2 *really* bad hangovers so far, but they both kept me throwing up *all day*. it was not pleasant.

so when and where are we going to meet? whoever said thursday nite, that sounds good to me-before the bands start and everything. if we met somewhere, you could all come back to our bbq if you wanted!

ok, well if thursday nites not good, we could do another time, i really don't mind.
PQ-what were those antibacterial wipe things you bought? and where did you get them from?
Where?
PQ Posted Jun 20, 2003
I got them from sainsbury's (sainsbury's own ones) "Sainsbury's Cleaning Wipes, Microban, Refill x40" for £1.65 they were with the toilet cleaning stuff in my local store but I figure they'll double for toilet seat cleaning and hand disinfecting before food. I would post a link but they don't let you browse the store without giving a postcode.
Got a bundle of baby wipes too for general cleanliness.
If this makes me sound like a clean freak I'm not, I just can't stand having scummy hands (don't mind dirt but can't stand slime) and I don't *do* squatting over toilet seats...lifes too short.
As for meet times I'm not fussed...we could always help you put your tent up if you like bob? (doubt I'll be much use by then though)

BobTheFarmer Posted Jun 20, 2003
My tent takes me 10 minutes to put up, blame the Scouts... But Im with my mate who hasnt been to Glasto as an adult, so Im sure he'll want to have a bit of a wander... Im easy with meet times, just informing you all that early evening on Thursday wont do, but seen as every Glasto Thursday I've been up to see clap the sunrise on Friday morning, there wont be any shortage of time that night...

thursday nite (sometime) mite be the best bet then, because we'll probably all want to see different bands once they get started. if you just text me when you're ready bob, i'll let you know what we're doing if we've started.
anyone got a time/place they want to meet?
