For those with an active interest in astronomy, a suitably dark viewing site and ideally a pair of binoculars - you may be interested to know of the H2G2 Astronomy Society's 2003 Messier Marathon, currently running at A900668. The idea is to see who can manage to spot the most Messier Objects during the course of this year. It's a great way to get to know your way around the sky and a real source of excitement when you find one of the elusive fuzzy objects and realise just what it is you're looking at!
