The door chimes and slides open, leading out onto a balcony overlooking a large room, grid-worked with square glass rooms. Inside some of these rooms, lab technicians work constantly on developing new and improved technology, in areas ranging from space/time alteration, to nanomechanics, to psionics.
Behind you, the door closes with a hum.
