This is what they eat in Southern India, it is mind-bogglingly marvellous! Usually served in such vast portions that it would certainly keep me in a state of well-stuffed bliss for the rest of the day.
--Basically, it's a thin pancake (about 1ft diameter) served with a potato based spicy filling, a mixed vegetable one in a spicy gravy & a yogurt & coconut chutney.
If you don't want to go all the way to India to get it, most Indian restuarants which are run by Hindu's will serve it. I've tried to make it myself, but not sure of the right sort of flour, I suspect it's rice flour. Anyone who knows, please tell me!
My mouth's watering; wish I could get hold of one now; not easy in France!
Terri.
