A Conversation for Great International Breakfast Dishes
great breakfasts

Restaurants in America that feature cuisine from other countries-
e.g.Mexico,Italy, China, Japan- are never open at breakfast time. I suspect that in most of the world breakfast consists of whatever is left over from the day before.
A typical American breakfast would consist of two eggs, pork(bacon, sausage, or ham) and toast and jelly. But there are endless variations. Children often eat cereal and milk. Fried potatoes are often an accesory at restaurants.
The convenient store is becoming dominant in my neighborhood. The store that sells gasoline, cigarettes, soft drinks, and so forth, has breakfast items usually consisting of biscuits(American, not British} with bacon or sausage with egg and cheese. Also biscuits with milk gravy. Everything is pre-cooked and frozen, the c-store just has to stack it up. Not haut cuisine, but it fills your belly.
