Would have to be weetbix and milk. Thats why our cricketers are os good.
Myself I prefer baked beans in ham sauce with a slice of gluten free bread eaten from the can of course

Hi Nats here.
Breakfast in Ausieland is beautiful.
The last time i had breakfast in Australia was 3 years ago.
What i had was so beautiful i didnt want it to finish.
The contents on my breakfast plate was Kangaroo sausages, standard bacon, Alligator eggs (2) fried bread in Garlic oil and Sweet and sour sauce.
Side serving was Mill Worms in Hoisin Sauce.
Mill Worms are on the basic side of maggots but bigger, and they taste devine.
I have to drink my English cos i dont like the Aussie (yuck).
I would reccommend everybody that goes to Australia, to try this breakfast, cos its beautiful.
Where i had this breakfast was on the outskirts of New South Wales, in a tiny but neat cafe, i cant recall the name, but it was very clean and the hospitality was brilliant.
So if anybody reading this and decides to go to Australia, they will have to ask where it is.
The Cafe is set back by 3 shops and a cleaners next to a Garage.
The outside is painted red and yellow, with a orange door.
The inside is decorated with Kangaroos on the wallpapers with koala bears in trees.
The paint work is coloured green and lilac.
But anyways going back to the breakfast, i will reccommend it to anyone, so good luck and when you do find it, enjoy.
And then once you have tried it, get back to me as soon as possible.
Catch you all later.

Nats, considering the fact that NSW is about 3 times the size of Great Britain, your directions to the Cafe may be just the slightest bit vague for a casual traveller.

funny, many of my ex-housemates were Australian and I always thought the basic Aussie breakfast was the other half of last night's final can of 'piss' (beer, nobody panic)a jar of vegimite and some stale bread, or if there is no bread, crackers, or if there are no crackers, crisps (potato chips) and if no crisps - a spoon (okay, now you can panic)

my friend and i were in perth, australia a couple of years ago, and we were staying at this swedish hotel called miss mauds, which had just about the best buffet breakfast and smorgasboard around. now, i'm not sure what the *aussies* have for breakfast, but we grew so accustomed to going downstairs at seven in the morning and piling our plates with toast (how anybody can live without buttered toast is beyond me) and pancakes and deli meats. and blue cheese!!! now i hate danish and uk blue cheese - no offence - because of the sharp acidic bite, but the variety they were serving there was absolutely heavenly... we had to have at least one wedge every morning. oh, and hot chocolate (it was early spring)

Re Vegemite
My Hubby likes a teaspoon of vegemite or promite in hot water with a piece of bread broken in it,-this is actually really nice especially when you've got a hangover!! all that vitamin B I suppose

Breakfast of Champions
(IE - what I usually have for breakfast )
Vegemite toast & coffee
or
eggs on toast and coffee
or
coffee & a smoke
...unless it's cold, then it's gotta be porrige!
(Of course, the ultimate breakfast is eggs on taost with spinach, tomatoes and mushrooms... )
