Breakfast in Portugal

My daughter ( a student on her year abroad ) is in Lisbon at the moment and she said that a lot of people over there have cakes with coffee for their breakfasts.Lots of different ones by all account, and all eaten with mini utensels. Some folk do have cereal and fruit and also croissants with ham or cheese are popular.
But, thats the normal people and not the students, they eat whatever is left from the night before, I`ve known my daughter to warm up egg fried rice, duck flavoured noodles and various curries, the list could go on.
