A Conversation for Fighting the Zeppelin

Hydrogen

Post 1

The Dali Llama

Strictly spaeking, hydrogen is flammable, not explosive. The combustion doesn't propogate fast enough for an explosion. This is why, in the Hindenburg disaster over two-thirds of the passengers survived.(compare to a jet airliner crashing/exploding) Of course, the Hindenburg was landing/deboarding at the time of the fire(cauesed by sabotage, I believe, corrct me if I'm wrong). I the Zeppelin that you're in is at 20000 feet when it goes up, than you're out of luck.

Who?

A leaking hydrogen gasbag allows the hydrogen to mix with air which is an explosive mixture. In those days, if the zeppelin was at 200 feet, it was curtains for the crew!
