Of course, it could just be that Americans mistrust intelligence... Apologies - that might not have been in the best of taste. One hillarious moment of accent-gone-wrong is when Kevin Costner in "Prince of Thieves" declares that "this is English courage" in a wonderful Hollywood accent, and plunges a dagger into his arm.
