The h2g2 Traveller: Gazing into the Past

1 Conversation

Where have you been? Seen any good mummies lately?

When you gaze into the past, the past gazes back…

Exhibit at Torquay Museum.

…or at least, that's what Galaxy Babe found when she visited the Torquay Museum's Egyptian exhibit.

She also saw Skankyrich (hi, former Editor!).

I asked, 'Do you have a quote about the weird guy in the picture?'

She replied, 'What weird guy?'

I pointed out the picture. GB wrote back, 'Oh, him? He's the child mummy, reconstructed. It was quite sweet, seeing him as a he had looked as a boy, his parents must have been devastated, poor souls.'

So there you have it. Sympathy at a distance of millennia.
