Kirkstall Abbey

Thanks for this comprehensive article on the building just down the road (the one with all the speed cameras) from where I live.
I drive, or walk, or take the train, past the Abbey most days. I cannot do it without speculating on how things would be if someone took it upon themselves to restore the Abbey and its Monks. Rather than preserve it as a relic without a watertight roof, make it live again.
Of course, it would have to comply with building regulations, have disabled access, be multi-cultural etc.
Anyone up for a job as a Modern Monk? Or perhaps a Modern Apprentice to a Modern Monk?

It would be great to see the abbey in its full glory, but I don't know how many people would want to be a full time monk. If I applied I think my wife would object
