h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I've just read the M.E article WELL DONE LIGHTHOUSE GIRL!!

A message to all who have read it or are affected by any type of condition involving the nervous system:
A new group has just started on h2g2 called "De Myelin Nation" & we would welcome anybody who has any interest in this subject to come & meet fellow researchers who are also affected (this includes family & friends)
We do not aim to wallow in self-pity, discuss our state of physical health endlessly (though there is a "whinging room" for times when that might be necessary!) but one thing we hope we can start is some lively discussion; so even the Rt.Rev. would be welcome to pop in & we'll see if we can give him some much-needed information on the subject!

Hi all! I am another De Myelin Nation person. I have ME and other nervous system problems, been *struck by lightning. Excellant article. They are few and far between on this topic! You did a marvelous thing here! I know it was not easy for you.I can relate to the day I was diagnosed being a HAPPY DAY! Then .....it has been quite a road. Many chronic problems have a lot in common. We will gladly welcome anyone wanting to be there!

Setting up a group where people can go and learn and understand is an excellent idea. It can be hard to find real and practical information or to understand what eiterh yourself or someone you know is going through - anything that can be done to help this is a great thing.
