hi,

I'm fairly new to this site, stumbled here when I googled the word "self confidence". Self confidence is something thatI know thatI have to build up inorder to be successful in life. but I have a few barriers before that that I'm trying to pass through. Like my slight accent & also the fact that I an not articulate. because of that I stay away from conversations, hence making myself antisocial. THe main thing is that I always have to repeat myself & speak slower the second time. I am willing to do anything to change this aslong as its free...even read books!! hehe

I HAVE THE SAME PROBLEM MATE, MAKES YOU LESS CONFIDENT TO SPEAK AND MAKES OTHERS THINK YOUR RUDE BUT ALL IT IS THAT YOU DON'T WANT TO EMBARASS YOURSELF IN FRONT OF OTHERS. TEND TO SPEAK LESS BECAUSE I GET ANNOYED REPEATING MYSELF. MY ACCENT IS NOT BAD, BUT I HAVE A DEEP VOICE WHICH DOSN'T HELP WHEN YOU SPEAK QUIETLEY. I WANT TO LEARN HOW TO ARTICULATE MY VOICE SO I CAN SOUND CONFIDENT AND CAN BE HEARD

Feisor - -0- Generix I made it back - sortof ...

G'day SHYFX2,

My name is Feisor and I am an ACE (Assistant Community Editor) here at h2g2 (there are lots of us smiley - biggrin )

Just thought I'd pop in and mention that, here at h2g2, as elsewhere on the net, typing in all caps is looked on as shouting and may be perceived as a little rude smiley - biggrin

Just a hint ....

Have fun

smiley - cheers
