A Conversation for The Scots Leid
Three leids

Lest we forget that Shetland is a part of Scotland and has a distinct leid of it's own, much of it is shared with old scots but there is still a lot of norse derived wordage used, even today.
The reason, i feel it's necessary to point this out is that of the analogy used at the beginning of this subject of the same/different leid of scots vs english and dutch vs german etc. In tis respect Shetland is a leid in it's own right.
