Ritual child abuse?

When they talked of it in The Archers a few years back, the ceremony involved the vicar holding a child upside down by the ankles and tapping its head lightly on each boundary stone... If any religion other than Christianity tried that they would be jailed for ritual child abuse. smiley - erm

Good job they didn't try it with animals!

Another part of the beating of the bounds at Poole harbour is the local 'pirates'smiley - pirate capturing a barmaid or two and setting out to sea.
Cue all the local boat owners to charge about spraying the pirates with water, and trying to release the captives. In the evening any captured pirates are made to walk the plank into the harbour.
