Alkland - In need of a SHIBBY!

In my hometown of Chesterfield, there's a little cocktail bar called Chandlers. The landlord of this fine establishment (a very talented cocktail waiter who goes by the name of Roger) is right now working on the perfect version of the PGGB based on this very entry. I'll keep you updated to the status. smiley - ok

Theres an alternative club in Hull by the name of 'Spiders', attended by a myriad of goths and the like. Now apparently they serve a drink under the name 'Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster' but I am unsure of the contents. However as a researcher for this guide I feel it my responsibility to research this particular incarnation of the PGGB in copious quantities in the future, and if the results are any good expect a write up, or at least a posting in a discussion somewhere!

I am new to the research staff here at the Guide offices, but I feel that I should describe my first experience with one locations version of a Pan Galactic gargle Blaster. It was the spring of 1995, the place: Manzanita, Oregon. Several of my collegues and I had settled into a nice little campground for the sake of celebrating the local custom of "Spring Break". That night I damn near lost my mind to this wonderful beverage. Once the sun had gone down, I was given a bright green drink that had the distinct taste of lemon with little to no taste of alcohol in it at all. Needless to say, I dont remember much of the evening beyond that point, but I do remember the ingrediants that had gone into it. They are as follows:

Strong Vodka (Such as Stolli's 100 Proof)
An Ice Cube sized chunk of Dry Ice
One pillow mint (remember those chalky pillow shaped things Gramdma kept in a bowl on the coffee table?)
One packet of Lemon Crystal Light mix (if water was added, this packet would make 2 quarts of drink, but it was dumped directly into the glass)
A pinch of Curray powder sprinkled on top
And, of course, one ripe green olive.

Now I know this is a deviation from the standard interpretations of the beverage taken from the Classic Guide, but I assure you, if you want to feel as if you have been hit in the back of the head by a slice of lemon wrapped around a large gold brick, this WILL do the job!!
