It would be tricky to navigate - kinda like a huge spherical 'force-field' or 'electric fence' of debris around the entire Solar System.
The purpose of such a 'forcefield' or 'electric fence' would seem to be to keep others out (maybe theres a nasty Borg equivalent out there) in order to protect US or could it actually be the other way around - as to keep something (US) in?
