A Conversation for Handy Japanese Phrases
The list of consonants

It seems to me that the list of consonants, given near the top of the page, is lacking some, like
j, sh, w, d
I may be completely wrong because I don't speak a word of Japanese (well, allright, I know few ones now)... just peeking at the examples...

You are completely right. Unfortunately, I was in Beijing during the whole review and editing process, and suffered from the complete closure of every internet cafe in the city. Now that I'm back, I'm cringeing at what I omitted from the list.
These are all pronounced as in English. The sh and j sounds are a peculiar case, as phonetically they are linked to "si" ie. "sha" is actually written "siya" in Japanese. In trying to simplify this peculiarity, I completely forgot to include it. My apologies.
