Memories? - it's currently being shown on BB2 on er... Tuesdays ... I think smiley - erm

But I've seen it several times recently.

One thing I note is that for an organisation charged with the protection of the earth SPECTRUM is awfully incompetent smiley - winkeye

I mean they even let the Angels fly after drinking! smiley - yikes

Tsk! smiley - winkeye

I never quite understood why the Mysterons always revealed their plan of action. It just gave the game away far too early. Terrorists generally don't do that - at least it that way.

Good entry though.

Well it's a war of terror - it's like other terrorist organisations where the objective is to keep the authorities busy rather than actually destroying the target (which is just a bonus).

The Mysterons do manage to destroy a number of their targets though - most significantly a bank in the heart of New York... which just happens to contain two robbers in the middle of a heist - kaBLOOEY!

I've heard you mention this series. Was that the one with Stanley Unwin as a Vicar and some bloke you could stick in your top pocket?

Yep-The Secret Service is the one with 'Father' Stanley Unwin-with that funky mix of puppets and live action-kooky!

Father Unwin works for the organisation based in British Intelligence Service Headquarters-B.I.S.H.O.P. in other words-not to be confused with Ed Bishop. And Father Unwin had a miniturisation ray-used to shrink his 'slow-witted' gardener Matthew down to one third of his normal size-handy eh? smiley - winkeye

sadly there was only 13 episodes made. But hey-not long 'til Joe90 turns up on BBC2 smiley - ok

Joe 90

Have you ever owned a Joe 90 case -the one with the two sides i.e. the secret compartment. I think it contained a gun, radio and your Joe 90 membership club secret papers. It was actually a bit tacky. Unlike the Dinky pink Rolls Royce from Thunderbirds which actually fired rockets from behind the radiator!
