A Conversation for Binning
The Turtle Bin

This certainly is one of the widest-known phenomena of its type. Many local variations exist, largely dictated by bin style. A school I attended fopr a short while had a fairly narrow topped but wide-based bin, which allowed the binee little alternative (when inserted properly and then inverted) but to crawl on all fours, limbs splayed awkwardly with the bin sticking directly upwards in the manner of a turtle's shell. They could usually get some way before a kind-hearted soul took pity; or a teacher showed up. Some binning candidates were so good at this that their binning was a popular, regular and well-publicised event.
