Good entry, I didn't know most of that. I would have guessed the Righteous Bros. did the only version that was a hit. Looking at the list, it occurs to me that you need to be able to SING to do this song. Unlike, say, "Louie, Louie" which was covered by virtually EVERY garage band I ever heard in the 60's and beyond. You didn't have to sing much, or even talk, for that matter.

As Mr Holland said in Mr Hollands Opus, Louie Louie has no real melody, awful lyrics and they can't sing properly. But it's great fun.
But Unchained Melody is also good.

Ghost is my favourite film - I loved the score.
I was astounded to hear the steel band playing it at Buckingham Palace, I was already writing this entry!
