Classification of Man
ParaPilot Started conversation Aug 15, 2002
In high school, we were assigned the task in Biology of memorizing (BSp, memorising) the scientific classification of man. The acronym mnemonic that I created must have worked, because I have remembered the classification for over 30 years. It's somewhat silly, but that probably makes it work better.
MNEMONIC
"King Arthur picked cherries so Vicky could make one pie for his German helper, Sally Schwann."
CLASSIFICATION
Kingdom - Animal
Phylum - Cordata
SubPhylum - Vertebrata
Class - Mammalia
Order - Primates

"The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy is a wholly remarkable book. It has been compiled and recompiled many times and under many different editorships. It contains contributions from countless numbers of travellers and researchers."
