Tasmania – One State – Two Beers – What’s going on?
It all dates back to early colonial times when Tasmania was divded into two admisitrative regions, Cornwall and Buckinghamshire, with the former administered from Launceston and the later from Hobart. The dividing line between the two was decreed to be the 42nd Parallel which is where Campbelltown sits. This North-South divide corresponds to the two Beer drinking regions of Tassie – Boags in the North and Cascade in the South.
