I was just doing a final read-through and came across this in the section about Tasmania....
"a quiet bunch of people who quite like Australian Rules Football and cricket lovers."
It doesn't sound quite right to me (and I wrote the line!). Should it be something like....
"a quiet bunch of people who quite like Australian Rules Football and love their cricket."
or
"and love a game of cricket"
??

Ok, now I think that I'm just being pedantic...... but....
"In the vote to decide who should represent the people at the Constitutional Convention however, the 'More Beer!' Party attracted a considerable percentage of the primary vote. Beer is taken very seriously"
Is the "however," superfluous? Or, more to the point, not really needed?
Or, even more to the point, I'm drunk at the moment so you can ignore everything I suggest?
another point in the New South Wales section.....
"This is considered to be the greatest single money earning event in Australia"
Should it be "greatest single" or "single greatest" or "INSERT ANOTHER PHRASE HERE"?
And in the corrected area of the Tasmania section - "expanse of wilderness, a quiet bunch of people who quite like Australian Rules Football and love their cricket", should it be "expanse of wilderness and a quiet bunch of people, etc, etc".
N.B. I got married on Thursday (8 March, 2007), and today my wifes uncles (excuse the complete lack of apostrophes, because at this point in time I have no idea where they should go in the phrase "wifes uncles") decided that they needed to get me drunk (if you've never had real Chinese bai jyo before, let me just say that it is the equivanent of rocket fuel, without the pleasant taste that some people might associate with drinking rocket fuel).
The wife has gone shopping with her cousin (and my money), so I'm going to have a short nap........

Hope when you awake the head isn't banging too much...
I'll get on to sorting out those little drunken misnomers as soon as I can
