A Conversation for Vending Machine Roulette

Zork, but no mention of H2G2?

The most frustrating use of a vending machine EVER in any video game or text adventure surely goes to Douglas Adams' infuriating Babel Fish Dispenser.

I still have nightmares of forgetting to pick up the pile of junk mail.

I haven't played that one - if it's more frustrating than Zork, than that is saying something...

I still haven't gotten very far beyond the dreaded babelfish dispenser but only due to lack of free time/dedication. I've been putting it off for years. I'm going to make a concerted effort to finish it soon. I missed it when it was first released so my first chance to play was on Douglas Adams' site here: (http://www.douglasadams.com/creations/infocomjava.html ) with no save game and no graphics. Without a save game feature, it's just too brutal. (but give it a try anyway.)
