A Conversation for Monty Python - the Best Bits

What's brown and sounds like a bell?

One of my favorite sketches is one with Graham and Carol Cleveland having a romantic evening when Eric Idle - in "nudge, nudge" mode - shows up and begins spouting off about all sorts of nonsense. Eventually, all of his friends - all genuine shockers - show up and it's just madness. I particularly like how Cleese's character, Mr. Brian Equator, turns at one point to Terry Gilliam and casually asks, "So, how are you, you great poof?"

Great, great, great sketch. Very rarely did they ever have full sketches that didn't have some hiccups, but they got this one right.

Also, the sketch in which Mrs. Niggerbaiter blows up is a classic.

Ah, 'The Visitors'... smiley - laugh

I remember reading that the goat that Michael Palin brought on in that sketch ("I had to bring the goat 'cos he's not well. I hope he don't go on the carpet") really did make a mess all over the studio floor smiley - tongueout
