A Conversation for Stained Glass Windows

An interesting entry. I grew up attending a cathedral that had some impressive stained glass - the religion has been discarded, but I still remember those windows.
I dabble in computer animation and have seen work inspired by such windows, since the combination of color, transparency or translucency, and lighting can be simulated fairly easily. A sophisticated example, sort of, is the movie "A Bug's Life". I read an interview with the director (or somebody on the team) that said the idea was to make the "world" of the bugs a place of translucent color, with the sun shining through the leaves, etc. I have done a modest night time "fly around" of a Notre Dame computer model, using various color transparencies on the window and extensive internal lighting - lots of fun.
