A Conversation for The Mystery of Michelangelo's 'Creation of Adam'

Mike and Leonard

I have to give credit to my wife for this theory.

It is well known that Michaelangello and Leonard de Quirm---sorry, Leonardo da Vinci- were contemporaries. And it is widely agreed that Leonard was vastly more accomplished in scientific and anatomical discoveries (those Italian women, eh?) and in the area of invention, in addition to rivalling the artistic accomplishments of Michaelangello.

It may be a less well-known fact, but a biographical fact all the same, that Michaelangello hated Leonardo. A lot.

My wife suggests that the discovery of the form and landscapse of the human brain, and the theorized importance attributed to said organ, was at the time accredited to Leonardo. And the inclusion of the shape in the fresco in question was an intentional juxtaposition to take a timeless jab at Leonado's theoried discovery, which Michaelangello thought absurd because of an appeal to an ad homonym attack against his nemesis.

What do you lot think?
