Not strictly a vegetarian dish but a great source of energy.
Personally I thought it was nothing more than a Glaswegian urban myth but I came across an article in the newspaper;

that was intruiging.
It seems that the deep fried Mars bar is (alledgedly) available in Paris, in a place called The Chipper, just off the Mouffetard and Rue Thouin. This delicacy is coated in batter, deep fried and in a gourmet twist, covered with whipped cream; unlike the caledonian version which comes with chips.
According to CNN.COM/health. Research (carried out for Mars )points to chocolate being being a good antioxidant, helping to maintain a healthy heart, good circulation and reduce clotting.
Ignore the fact that Glasgow is the heart attack capital of Britain..Enjoy!
