The Christmas Party episode...

Post 1

...is one of the high points of 90s British comedy. This is simply because it is so true to life. I don't know any one who has attended an office party and not felt a horrific resonance when watching it.

If you have not seen it, I urge you to beg, borrow or pilfer a copy (as long as you return it!smiley - cross) and relive the horrors of works Christmas parties.

If however, you have a tendency to embarrass yourself at these events, you might not want to... smiley - winkeye

Yes I agree it was a brilliant episode [I particularly like Alex's speach, and everything that happened to George smiley - smiley], actually this was the episode that won the series it's first emmy.

Zebedee (still Pool God after all these years)

Some of us are lucky enough to work in one of the newsrooms on which legend says the series drew inspiration from. I can well believe it, condsidering my last task was to find a yoga teacher (who absolutely must be a vicar's wife) at 11pm on a Sunday night. For an interview at 6:30 the next morning....
