A Conversation for Unicycles and Unicycling
Anybody ever seen one with training wheels?

When I was in, I think, sixth grade, a fellow came to my school to
perform on one, nay several, of these contrivances. One of his toys
was a unicycle with training wheels. This consisted of a standard
unicycle having two other wheels mounted directly beneath on a taller frame. The silly thing was about 3 metres tall to the saddle and he needed audience help just to get on it. Still, it was pretty darned cool. Has anybody else seen one of these?
Until I write again,

Oops! Only just found this. Sorry!
I *think* I know what you mean... There's a photo of one of these things in Sebastian Hoher's unicycle book. They're not really training wheels. What it actually is, is a chainless giraffe unicycle. Where a normal giraffe would have a pair of pedals connected to a wheel with a chain, this thing has the pedals driving a wheel directly as normal, then that wheel drives another, which in turn drives another.
There are some excellent pictures of seriously weird unicycles here:

If you want a unicycle with training wheels, you need to get hold of a Max SkateBike. But if you can already ride a uni (and if you've read this entry then you should be able to by now! ) then you won't want to waste your time with such amateur stuff...
