Billy the Kid was in fact not a lefty. The only surviving photo of him, and the one that supposedly "proved" his left-handedness, was not processed correctly. That means that the negative was flipped the wrong way, so it is reversal of the true image, which was that of Billy the Kid, a righty. Thanks Discovery Channel.
