A Conversation for Hearts - the Card Game

Another rule.

Wonderbra Liz

We used to play this game all the time at school, with a slight variation. The King and Ace of Spades also had a points value of 10 and 7, so if you were unlucky enough to only have the Ace of Spades when the Queen and King have been put down, you won the lot!

We didn't finish when we got to 100 either - we just kept playing until the end of lunch/break time, or the teachers caught us and made us stop!

We played it in school, too.. during study halls. The teachers there were happy to have us playing cards and being relatively quiet as opposed to the alternative when we -weren't- playing cards. If you change your homespace (you can get to it by clicking the 'My Space' button (It's on the side in the goo or along the top in Alabaster, which is what you're probably seeing now if you haven't changed your preferences. You can change your homespace by clicking the "Edit page" button in the right-hand column. You don't have to know anything about html or web-page authoring to do so. Just leave the page as plain text if you don't. If you want to add a link, just type it as "http://your.link.here" and the h2g2 parser will take care of the rest. You can learn about GuideML when you're ready at the GuideML Clinic: http://www.bbc.co.uk/h2g2/guide/A187229 Changing your page, even it's only a friendly "Hi, I'm here." will allow others to welcome you right on your homepage! :-) And every time you log into h2g2, you will be taken to your homespace where you can keep track of all the places you've posted and where you've been answered and what you've written and all kinds of things. ;-) Goo and Alabaster are the two available 'skins' here on h2g2. I prefer our classic goo. (You can see any page in goo by adding "?skin=classic" to the end of any h2g2 URL. Don't use the quotes ("), but the question mark (?) is important.) Hope you have a fun stay!
