A Conversation for How to Be a Successful Tourist
Some things I noticed in LA

We went on a holiday to LA (I'm from New Zealand), and I think we gave ourselves away with some exclamations over differences. It's the little things that get you:
Light switches are up the other way (down is off)
If you go to a fast-food store and order the meal with "Hamburger and chips" you get a hamburger and a bag of potatoe chips (not hot chips as I was expecting).
Their toilets fill up half-way after flushing. This is NORMAL, they are not about to overflow.
They don't know what the word "que" means. As in, wanting to know if this is the end of the (HUGE) line for a ride at Disney Land, and after making several unsuccessful attempts at "is this the end of the que?" having to switch to "is this the end of the line?".
