A Conversation for How Not to Name Children

I remember a friend coming back from an American exchange year many years ago. She thought it was really strange that nobody batted an eyelid when someone with the surname Looney was introduced to someone called Nutter. I can hear the conversations after the wedding. I used to be a Looney but now I'm a Nutter.

Ladies check your name combinations when you meet someone called Holder.

That old English name Fanny goes with just about nothing but especially not Holder. Combining it with Anita could sound like something the groom would say.

Using the Army practice of putting surnames first I know someone called Doug Donald who would sound foolish on the parade ground.

Having reread the above I didn't mean the Anita reference to sound anywhere near as bad as it might. Anita Holder is what I was trying to refer to.
