Well done EG entry.

Although this may sound a bit morbid, It's very interesting reading these analyses of train wrecks. Several of them seem to contain an element of, "We know we ought not do this, but we didn't get killed last time, so it's an acceptable risk." Basically the same logic NASA used about frozen insulating foam hitting the side of the shuttle.
