I have had SD at the back of my scalp fo almost 6 years, and have tried every kind of medicated shampoo to to controll it, but with no luck. The only remedy that works for me is Topical steroid cream ot lotion. However, this can cause undesirable side effects, used long term, like thinning of skin. There is alot of bad news about cortisone steroids which you should look up if you are currently using this. But recently I have come across a cheap yet very effective way of controlling my condition. APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, applied to the scalp directly and left for 30min and then shampoo out.
It usually took 7 day , with two applications daily of topical steroid lotion (Diprosalic 0.05%), to get my SD under control. Yet only two application of Apple Cider Vinegar and I am rid of all scales and discompfort.

hi ive had sd for fifteen years,my gp gave me nizoral shampoo,which worked at first but then just made my skin red on my face,i suffered terribly with it throughout my twenties,i had no self esteem or confidence,i started going to a gym and started using their steam rooms,it gradualy made my skin better as it opened up all my pours,but it still left me with red patches under my eyes,i use nivea sun lotion every day now i have no dry skin just these red patches,i found central heating to be a major cause of my sd,anyone else think this?

is the apple cider vinigar still working? i have tried every thing,except this , sounds good. i will try it and let you know
