Actually, it's now thought that when George, Duke of Clarence was drowned in a barrel of Malmsey, that it was in fact half a Malmsey butt thet was being used as a bathtub (a popular re-use of old wine barrels).
I did once hear an 'urban legend' dating apparently from the Tudor period that once he'd been drowned in the wine each of his trusted captains drank a glass of it.
"I know I asked for something with a bit of body, but this is ridiculous..."
