A Conversation for 'Dungeons and Dragons' - the Movie
I don't remember it being that good...

When I saw this movie, I was disappointed. I am a fan of Dungeons & Dragons and role-playing in general, so I expected an adventure through the wilderness, battling monsters and thinking fast. Instead, I got a formulaeic plot and a movie that was little more than an advertisment for D&D.
Don't get me wrong--some of the scenes in the movie were great. The Thieves' Guild challenge was very bright, and the special effects were awesome. But the actors were a little too faky, a little too unoriginal. The whole performance was just a tad too much rehearsed.
If you want some swashbuckling action, this is a good movie to see. If you want some stunning special effects, this is where you go. But if you want a story, you should make your own and play the game.
