i have been trapped by the vortex that is the only cafe for years, from when it first opened. it has been my spot when i am in peterborough, no one forgets you. actually they wonder where have you been for the past 9 years. it is a great feeling, all travellers should make ptbo thier pit stop, the people are friendly, always like old friends. great space to see where you are going next, but if you have lived in ptbo for a while you will always make it your space to reflect. i had always believed in the vortex, now i know others think of it too. probably not just people from ptbo...take care wildiris

I was in Peterborough about a month ago visiting some friends that go to Trent University...but I happened to miss the Only. I'll be sure to pop in next time I pry myself off the computer and venture out of Toronto. From how it's described, the place sounds like Cheers.

it is like cheers...but be aware that you have certain codes to follow if you go there...the biggest one is to not be an ass...order at the bar, dont expect great service, and just be nice, there is many other things i could tell you about like which characters to avoid etc... i go there almost everyday need my coffee fix take care wildiris

Seriously. But I'd rather have cranky attitude than good service when I'm there. It's much more fun.
