Thanks, Caper - that looks good, and it's just the right length.
I'll drop it into the piece tomorrow, I'm a bit now!
There's just one line I don't understand: 'The partnership between Ronaldo and Rivaldo soon fired up with fierce contempt...'
Contempt for whom? Each other? The Turks?

OK. I've made a few amendments and additions, and that report is now in place. Hope you'll approve of what I've done with it!

Ormy - before I forget, should there be an example of the 'stare of death' for those who don't know what that is?

... is the only one I could find
It's looking great so far - and Brazil are 1-nil up!

It's a fairytale story for Ronaldo; wonderful considering what happened in France 98
And with a dodgy haircut too

Congrats to the Brazilians, hard luck to the Germans.
I thought it could have gone either way.
As my son was supporting Brazil, I was {secretly} plumping for Germany.
Something about underdogs....
How brilliant to see Pele in the line-up.

Collina in 'yellow card mode' - probably at his most intimidating in the Final
AGB - it was wonderful - as well as Beckenbauer right next to him; it says something about the whole tournament, that gamesmanship still shines through

Thank you greatly for those, WD. That one of Collina really is something, isn't it? I think that's the picture to illustrate the 'stare of death'!
I'm going to put the last touches to the piece tomorrow, so please take a look later in the day if you can. Your comments will be very welcome, as long as they're not too rude! I'm still working on the bit about the final, and when that's done there's a lot of text to check through, but I plan to have the entry in Peer Review some time on Tuesday.

Wonderful - I won't be nasty at all
Glad to help though; it's been a pleasure writing the summaries in between on-calls
Collina is probably one of the scariest refs I have ever seen, however I think the BBC interviewed him before the Argentina/England match and he seems like a really nice bloke... strange really

OK, folks - I gave the entry a final check and polish today, and then submitted it to Peer Review. Here's hoping that it's well received!

Thank you! I may need the good wishes. I'm already fielding some criticisms of the entry! 8-) http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F48874?thread=193084

Seems like you've got it all nicely handled though I'll pop in with the Collina mask
if anything gets too out of hand
