Whereas the Flying Dutchman etc. (and many other cases apart from ghost ships) are supported by historical evidence and tradition, the Lady Lovibund appears to be purely legend. A (famous reputable paranormal researcher, can't remember his name) looked into the case and could find no evidence of a ship of that name, wrecked or otherwise, ever having existed. Strange, especially since it's supposed to be historic and there's actual dates supplied for its reappearance.
